(formerly, Project S.A.F.E ™)

Home

Heroes In Action® program objective is to reach as many families and students in teaching assertive behavior in schools and to provide a safer learning environment so students can get an education and grow to become successful adults.

The curriculum applies step-by-step guidelines and role play activities in dealing with bullying in and out of schools by teaching assertive behavior. Students learn how to handle bullying situations without becoming aggressive or passive.

This program will benefit the community by providing safer environments in schools by working on "character education" so students can use these skills inside and outside the school environment.   Also, it will help educate parents to open a line of communication with their child through training workshops that can be set up through school-parent organizations.

Training Manual

The training guide is designed as an aide for teachers, counselors and staff members of school districts responsible for the instruction of conflict resolution and anger management. Unlike other bullying programs, this curriculum is designed to teach assertive skills to educate both the aggressive and passive student. Heroes In Action® teaches character development and life skills. It encourages healthy choices to become successful adults. The step by step guidelines for the written exercises and role play activities can be easily adapted to accommodate the skill or learning levels of the students and class structure.
