This seminar is designed to teach children what to do when faced with a potentially
serious confrontation. It also teaches them what to do if grabbed or attacked.
The techniques taught range from talking your way out of a situation, to defending
yourself as a last resort.
This seminar involves role-play and hands on participation. Adult participation
is encouraged in order to enhance communication between parents, teachers and counselors
in an effort to help kids cope with everyday pressures. Some examples of topics that
are effective role plays are:
- Bus Stop
- Lunch Line
- Hallway
- Restroom
- Gangs
- Mall
- Stranger
- Good Touch, Bad Touch
- Etc.
