The Respect Center Fitness & Fighting Arts Academy now offers classes in Kali Silat, a Form of light contact stick sparring that increases a person's cardio while developing speed, flexibility and agility.
Through the study and application of indigenous fighting techniques, we develop practical skills that can be applied to our daily lives.
By applying all the principles of basic survival in a safe and nurturing environment, we learn to handle crisis with more optimism and develop our ability to remain (ourselves) centered in the midst of chaos.
Gradually learning to feel safe in an unsafe situation can teach us how to more effectively deal with life's smaller challenges.
By becoming more mentally and physically fit, and aware of ourselves and our environment, we are better equiped to face each day and view each challenge as an opportunity for spiritual growth.
