Rules of the Dojo

  1. Do not enter class late or leave early without Instructor's permission.

  2. Higher belts may attend a lower belt class.  However, lower belts cannot attend a higher belt class.

  3. All students are addressed as Mr., Ms., or Sir.  Also use words of consideration while speaking, such as "Yes Sir", "No Sir", "Pardon me, Sir."

  4. Be courteous and respectful to all fellow students.  Do not teach other students unless asked to by your instructor.

  5. Loud conversation, chewing gum and jewelry are prohibited.

  6. Personal hygiene is important!  Clean uniforms, trimmed nails, etc....  Store all belongings, including shoes and socks, in the locker rooms, not under the bench.

  7. Any substitute instructor shall be treated as your own instructor.

  8. Do not engage in activities that might degrade the reputation of the school.  Any misuse of your Karate knowledge will result in a given punishment from your instructor.

  9. No shoes will be allowed on the workout floor at any time.

  10. Legal target areas are as follows:  Head and face, side of neck (but not throat), ribs, abdomen, collarbone.

  11. Illegal target areas are:  Spine, back of the neck, throat, hip, elbow, knees, buttocks, groin, entire leg and feet.

  12. Protective gear is required for all sparring techniques.  Feet and hand pads, mouth piece, groin protector and headgear.

  13. All punches and kicks are to be executed properly and in a controlled manner.

THESE RULES WILL BE ENFORCED BY YOUR INSTRUCTOR!
